Christmas Festival

A few weekends ago, the Carnes and Kelley crews met up to head to downtown Davidson for the annual Christmas festival.  It was really neat with lots of food and crafts from local vendors, horse drawn carriage rides and plenty of hot chocolate and cider to go around.  It was a great way to kick start the Christmas season!

We let Ella pick out her dinner for a special treat.  She chose a pretzel.  Not exactly the healthiest option.  (Luckily, we snuck in some fruit on the way :)  )

But how could we say no to this face?  Seriously, she was really pumped about that pretzel.

The whole crew hanging out.

The Hen was a bit underwhelmed.

Dad and the Munchkin (still eating the pretzel.)

Tried to get a pick with all the Christmas trees decorated by local business.  Didn't quite turn out :(   But, it was very pretty in real life. Note to self: get a new camera.

Strolling around checking out the sites.

Ella was mesmerized by the dancers.  And, the decided she needed to participate.  She almost made it to the stage but luckily we caught her in time and convinced her it was just as good to dance on the sidelines :)

There was also an ice skating rink, some S'more roasting stations and a living nativity that I didn't get pictures of.  We didn't make it to all of those because it was freezing that night and it was getting a little late for the kiddos.  But we all really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to next year!
