A couple of weeks ago our club had a "Brunch with Santa" and we were so excited to attend. I couldn't wait to see the excitement on Ella's face when she got to talk to the big man in person and ask for her Christmas gifts! The actual results of the brunch can only be described as an epic fail. Not only did Ella not want to sit on Santa's lap but she was terrified to even be in the same room as him. She refused to eat any breakfast (which, if you know Ella, you know is a big deal) and sat the whole time with her eyes closed and turning her head away from where Santa was sitting. She also refused to talk. (Again, if you know Ella, this is a pretty big deal.) Below is the only picture we were able to snag with Ella and Santa. He had to sneak up behind us. Unfortunately, Ella was hip to our plan. Please note the closed eyes. Ah, well - maybe next year.
