Ella turned 8 months old yesterday! Every month it gets harder and harder to believe how much she is growing up. This has been a big month for Ella. I feel like she is learning something new every day!
So, here's a little rundown of some of Ella's new "tricks."
- "yaya" "dada" "bobo or booboo" Still no "mama" despite my best efforts :)
- Drinks from a sippy cup all by herself.
- Sits up all by herself and can push herself up into a sitting position
- She will mimic you clapping and I think waves bye bye. She's kind of inconsistent with the bye bye thing but I think that's what she's doing.
- She's mobile! This has made keeping up with our little ball of energy a whole new challenge. She's getting the hang of crawling, although right now it looks more like an inchworm move. But, if that doesn't get her to where she wants to go she just log rolls her little self over to it. Very resourceful, I think.
- Has started to eat some small finger foods. Well, just Puffs really. We're trying to go slow after the "Watermelon Incident." I don't know what they put in those puffs but it must be some form of baby crack. Hopefully, they have puff rehab because we have ourselves an addict, folks.
- She now has 4 teeth and it looks like another on the way. Now if only those suckers would line up she could really get this eating thing down :)
And, b/c what's a post without pictures....
Ella on the move!
It was hard to get a picture because she kept trying to get the camera :)
Well, hello there.
Ella working her core.
Ella's friend Michael came to play :) Here they are "sharing" the previously mentioned puffs. Actually, it was more of a free-for-all. They would both grab as many puffs as possible before the other one could get them. Obviously, the best puffs are the ones already in your friends hand.
Here they are sort of looking in the same direction. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
This picture cracks me up. Poor Michael looks like isn't too sure about this back rub :)
You will also notice the lack of a coffee table in our living room. This has now been replaced with the lovely alphabet mat you see as well as about a million baby toys and the entertainer. Jason did a little "redecorating" one day while I was at work. When I inquired about these changes his only response was "Ella likes it." So, if anyone needs an interior decorator, she'd be happy to offer her services. Hopefully, you like primary colors. Also, if you need Jason you can find him wrapped around Ella's little finger :)
