She hasn't been herself since we got back from the beach but we had chalked it up to playing too hard with her pal Nico and maybe a little bit of jealousy that we left her. But, she just wasn't coming around. And, then she started vomiting. We decided to take her to the vet but tonight things took a turn for the worse. Maggie wouldn't eat or drink. Not even peanut butter. She wouldn't bark at strangers. Or jump on the couch. For those of you that have met Maggie, you know this is VERY abnormal. Then she started bleeding and Jason took her up to the doggie ER. So, now Maggie is spending the night at the emergency vet. They aren't quite sure what's going on yet but they think it might be hemorrhagic gastorenteritis. She's getting IV fluids and antibiotics and we're going to check in on her in the morning.
So, please keep the Mags in your prayers. We are hoping for a swift recovery for our first little girl.
