2 week appointment

Ella and I had our first big adventure out alone today - and it was a success!  Ella had her two week appointment with the pediatrician and everything went really well.  We were hoping she had gained back her birthweight by this appointment - she passed this test with flying colors!  Our little girl weighed in at 8lbs 6.5 oz.  Whoa!  I think it's safe to say she has really gotten the hang of this whole "eating" business.    We did have to have some blood work done today which involved 3 heelsticks for blood.  Miss Ella was not too happy about this, as you can imagine.  And, neither was mom.  But, we both survived and made it home in one piece and without any major meltdowns :)
