Fall Fun

Unfortunately, for the last week Miss Priss has been doing a lot of this...

...and sleeping. She has had a fever all week long as well as a cough. First we thought it was probably just a virus but on Thursday she slept all day and Friday she wouldn't eat or drink a bottle. Those of you that know Ella know this means something is definitely up. She was also breathing really fast, even while sleeping, which was pretty much all she would do. So, off to the doctor we went. Now we're back on antibiotics for an ear infection and possible pneumonia. We hate to be on antibiotics again but we're grateful our little girl is feeling better. She was back to her normal self today and we couldn't be happier to have our little girl back!

So, this weekend we headed down to Fort Mill to see Grandma and Grandpa Carnes and the rest of the Carnes Crew in SC. We had a really fun time and got to spend some time at their church Fall Festival! Ella even dressed up in her Halloween costume :)

Playing with Dad and cousin John at the Fall Festival!
Showing off our big girl walking skills. I just can't believe how fast she is growing up!
And then it was time for "Trick or Trunk." The church has a fun event where everyone decorates their trunk for Halloween and all the kids go around the parking lot trick-or-treating. Ella had a blast. And, by the way, is she not the cutest little mermaid you have EVER seen?
I just love her face in this picture. It's like she's saying "Who me??!?" You may also notice that in most of these pictures Ella is with Jason. In the past few days, Ella has started to develop a little bit of stranger anxiety and has decided she is most definitely a "Daddy's girl." She ALWAYS wants her Daddy to hold her. She is ok with me most of the time - unless Jason is in the room. Then, it has to be Dad. I'm trying not to take it personally. At least I have time to play photographer :)
Ella did decide it would be ok for her Great-Grandmother to take her "Trick or Trunking." Here she is meeting Houdini at one of the trunks. The girl LOVES dogs.
Ella and her cousin John holding hands.
These are Ella's cousins Mary Grace and John. John is showing off his dragon fire breathing skills in this picture. They are quite a duo. Right after this picture Mary Grace informed us that John was "naked under his costume." Too cute.
On Sunday, we headed back home but we stopped to eat dinner at Brixx Pizza with the family. Ella had a blast coloring pictures with her Daddy.
This was her first time coloring with crayons and she thought it was hilarious.
I just love that smiling face!!
Showing off her masterpiece!
Ella decided the best looking item on the menu was...the menu itself!

What a fun weekend!!

  2. She is sooo cute! I can't believe she's walking too! Don't worry about the daddy's girl thing right now and just take advantage of the fact that you're hands free for a little while! :) Every few weeks Austin goes through a stage where he mainly wants me or he mainly wants Ryan. I think his preference has to do with which one of us is currently nicer to him and gives in to his whining the most though...
